Effective Representation for the 21st Century:
Therapeutic Jurisprudence in Civil and Criminal Practice
Join us for a seminar on exciting new innovations in the practice of law. At this seminar, you will learn the principles of therapeutic jurisprudence and how you can integrate them into your civil and/or criminal practice. Experience how this movement is changing the practice of law, resulting in better representation of clients and greater professional satisfaction on the part of attorneys.
Therapeutic jurisprudence focuses our attention on humanizing the law and the legal process and asks whether the law can be applied in a more therapeutic way so long as other values, such as justice and due process, can be fully respected. It is a framework for asking questions that might otherwise go unaddressed.
Memphis is joining this national movement, which is being practiced by both judges and attorneys across multiple areas of criminal and civil law, in various court jurisdictions, and with both juveniles and adults.
