November 13-15, 2009 Santa Fe, New Mexico
Contemplative Practices for Lawyers: Methods of Flowing from Reactive Brain to Reflective Mind
From the site:
As lawyers, we work with conflict . . .
•With others when we negotiate, litigate, and mediate
•Within ourselves when we achieve balance, skill, and control
In this retreat we will combine the very newest of brain science with centuries-old, time-proven techniques of attention, awareness, and thinking to achieve a new level of personal and professional self-mastery. The latest and most advanced way to navigate conflict!
We will take full advantage of the venue for this historic retreat. Ghost Ranch is an oasis in Santa Fe, just three blocks from the Plaza yet quiet and removed from the bustle. That location will help us improve our ability to move from quiet to day-to-day action and back again, and to integrate quiet and action.
We also will be incorporating into the retreat some of the treasures of the unique state of New Mexico, "Land of Enchantment," and of Santa Fe, "The City Different." A unique setting for a unique retreat.
Registration includes all meals and lodging beginning with Friday afternoon check in through the close of the retreat Sunday at noon. Rooms are double occupancy. You may upgrade to a single room for an additional $50. per night.*
